Acrylic painting on 250 gsm art paper
I created this artwork for Dublin 2019: An Irish Worldcon. A view out of the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) over the River Liffey and the Samuel Beckett bridge.
There’s no literal connection with the Blade Runner films here (beyond a certain vibe); the title relates to the blade that the character is wearing on her leg. I wanted to ensure that there was representation of disability in the promotional artwork for Dublin 2019, and to do so in as, well, badass a way as possible. This is my attempt.
The artwork was used in adverts and postcards for the convention.
