I created this artwork for Dublin 2019: An Irish Worldcon. I drew this as inked line art, to which I then added digital colouring. It depicts the CCD being wrenched into outer space. Which is definitely a thing that could happen. The most unrealistic thing about this image is the lack of queues.
This artwork was used as a badge (for which I had to digitally extend it slightly), and the black and white version was on the cover of the 2019 Hugo Ballot. It had cameos in the Dublin 2019 “Slices” t-shirt and the end of the souvenir book.
You can find prints of some of my art over in my Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/iainjclarkart).
