Acrylic painting on 250 gsm art paper.
I was asked to contribute an iconic image to the Glasgow 2024 Worldcon bid. This is my attempt to honour Scotland’s industrial, natural and mythological heritages, with a twister girder forming the same of a dragon, or the Loch Ness monster if you prefer. This too a while to find the right style for the sky, the final one being formed from swirls of liquid acrylic ink that came together satisfyingly quickly.
I designed it so it could be cropped into an even taller and thinner image for use on standees.
This is being used on standees and flyers at the moment. You can support the bid here: https://glasgow2024.org/
